Search for Missing Camper in Coconino County
COCONINO COUNTY, Ariz. — Authorities have launched a search operation for 32-year-old Janelle Banda, who was reported missing after last being seen on Friday night. According to the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, Banda was in the Edge of the World area, near Woody Mountain Road, around 10:30 p.m. when she wandered away from her campsite and has not returned since.
The sheriff’s office has mobilized its search and rescue unit to comb the region in hopes of locating the missing woman. Banda is described as 5’5" tall, weighing 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Officials are urging anyone with information regarding Banda’s whereabouts to contact the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office at 928-774-4523 or 1-800-338-7888. Additionally, tips can be submitted through Coconino Silent Witness at 928-774-6111.
As the search intensifies, the community remains hopeful for Banda’s safe return.
