Arizona Wildcats Gear Up for 2025 Men’s College World Series Against Coastal Carolina
OMAHA, Neb. – The No. 21 Arizona Wildcats (44-19) are set to face off against the No. 11 Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (53-11) in their opening game of the 2025 Men’s College World Series this Friday at 11:00 a.m. MST. The thrilling matchup, reminiscent of their previous championship clash in 2016, will be broadcast on ESPN and Wildcats Radio 1290 AM.
This marks Arizona’s 19th appearance at the College World Series, tying them for the eighth-most in history. The Wildcats have an impressive all-time record of 43-32 in the CWS and are looking to build on their momentum after a strong postseason, which included capturing the Big 12 Championship.
Head coach Chip Hale is among a rare group of individuals who have reached the CWS as both a player and coach. The Wildcats aim to leverage their diverse roster, featuring standout performers like Mason White, who holds 48 career home runs, and closer Tony Pluta, who has set a single-season saves record.
In a high-stakes rematch, anticipation is high for what should be an exhilarating start to the series in Omaha.
