Doomsday Mom’s Trial Resumes in Phoenix
PHOENIX – Lori Daybell, infamously dubbed the "Doomsday Mom," is back in a Phoenix courtroom for the second and final trial concerning her alleged role in the attempted murder of Brandon Boudreaux. The trial resumes on Tuesday, June 10, with Daybell continuing cross-examination of Gilbert Police Officer Ryan Pillar, the lead agent in Boudreaux’s shooting case.
On Monday, the prosecution called five witnesses before Pillar completed his testimony. Notable testimonies included the owner of a window tinting shop in Rexburg, Idaho, who discussed tinting a Jeep Wrangler linked to the shooting, and a Drug Enforcement Administration witness who mentioned a license plate reading camera capturing a Jeep damaged on Interstate 40 hours before the incident. Additionally, forensic scientists provided insights into DNA testing from the vehicle, while a retired police officer testified about Boudreaux’s state of mind post-shooting.
The trial, which started last week, saw intense courtroom exchanges, including Daybell’s removal after a tense confrontation with the judge. Previously, Daybell has faced charges related to the murders of her children and her former husband.
Live coverage of the trial is available on FOX 10’s YouTube channel.
