Sharks Claim Thrilling Victory Over Rattlers, Improve to 7-3
The Jacksonville Sharks made a resounding statement in their recent game against the defending IFL champion Arizona Rattlers, securing a thrilling 54-48 victory that brought their record to 7-3. From the start, the Sharks dominated the field, scoring 16 points before the Rattlers managed to respond.
Despite a shaky second quarter, where Arizona closed the gap to just three points, the Sharks maintained composure. A late rushing touchdown by Tyler Huff allowed Jacksonville to lead 37-27 at halftime. The momentum shifted in the third quarter as the Rattlers narrowed the score to 37-34. Yet, Jacksonville’s defense stepped up, preventing Arizona from converting a key field goal attempt.
By the end of the third quarter, the Sharks held a commanding 51-34 lead. With another critical defensive stop to close out the game, Jacksonville secured their hard-fought victory. Tyler Huff excelled in his home debut, contributing three rushing touchdowns and one passing touchdown. Fellow teammates Larry McCammon and Jaedon Stoshak also made notable performances.
The Sharks will look to continue their winning streak as they prepare to face the 7-3 Green Bay Blizzard on June 13.
