Sharps Technology Launches Shipments of Smart Safety Syringes, Marks Milestone Transition to Revenue Generation
NEW YORK, June 4, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – Sharps Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: STSS, STSSW), an innovative medical device and pharmaceutical packaging company, has announced the commencement of shipments for its SecureGard™ and SoloGard™ smart safety syringes from its recently upgraded manufacturing facility in Hungary. This marks a significant milestone as the company transitions to a commercial-stage, revenue-generating entity.
The inaugural shipments include a customized order of 10mL SoloGard syringes under a $50 million supply agreement with a U.S.-based leader in IV flushing solutions. This $400,000 order signifies the beginning of a five-year contract for up to 500 million syringes. SoloGard, which boasts an ultra-low waste design and re-use prevention technology, is FDA- and WHO-approved.
Additionally, Sharps has delivered SecureGard safety syringes to a Hungarian vaccine provider, following a $100,000 purchase order. SecureGard features a specialized safety design aimed at enhancing user safety and reducing waste, reflecting the growing global demand for Sharps’ solutions.
Moreover, Sharps is now shipping 200,000 units of 1mL low dead space syringes to a Swiss provider of cosmetic and ophthalmic therapies. This shipment is part of a larger 1-million-unit order for specialized injectables.
