Former Coyotes Owner Nets Major Profit on Paradise Valley Home Sale
Paradise Valley, AZ – Alex Meruelo, the former owner of the Arizona Coyotes, has made an impressive financial turnaround by selling his gated property for $30 million. Meruelo and his wife, Liset, finalized the sale of their 9-acre residence on May 22, two years after purchasing it for $12.1 million.
Located at 5815 N Saguaro Rd, the Meruelos enjoyed a significant profit from the sale, which was managed by Joan Levinson of Realty One Group. Levinson initially helped the couple acquire the home in 2021.
Meruelo’s ownership of the Coyotes ended in April 2024 when he was compelled by the NHL to sell the team after unsuccessful efforts to secure a permanent arena for the franchise. The team was sold to new owners in Utah.
This profit from real estate comes amidst Meruelo’s challenging tenure with the NHL and reflects a savvy investment during a tumultuous phase for the Coyotes. The sale highlights the lucrative real estate market in Paradise Valley, as high-profile properties continue to attract significant buyer interest.
