The Wildcats continued to dominate with Walton’s third blast in the sixth and more contributions from Mihalakis and Splaine in the later innings.

Arizona’s pitching staff combined for a shutout, with starter Smith Bailey going six innings and surrendering only four hits. In contrast, Cal Poly’s Ethan Marmie struggled, giving up six runs before exiting the game early. Despite the loss, Nate Castellon stood out for the Mustangs with two hits.
