Andy Biggs Gains Traction in Arizona Gubernatorial Race
PHOENIX – MAGA supporters are rallying behind Andy Biggs as he pursues the Republican nomination for Arizona governor in 2026. On May 31, Biggs hosted a town hall at the Arizona Biltmore Resort, emphasizing his plans for education reform, election integrity, and enhanced border security. “I’m committed to making Arizona the safest state in terms of border security,” he stated, pledging to collaborate with local law enforcement to combat human and drug trafficking.
Biggs, currently representing Arizona’s 5th Congressional District, faces competition from Karrin Taylor Robson, who lost the 2022 GOP primary to Kari Lake. Recent polling from Noble Predictive Insights shows Robson leading Biggs among GOP voters, with 24% versus Biggs’ 17%. However, analyst Mike Noble noted that Biggs may be gaining momentum, particularly among younger, digitally-savvy voters aligned with Charlie Kirk’s supporters.
In a head-to-head matchup, both candidates trail incumbent Governor Katie Hobbs, with her receiving 41% of likely voters to Robson’s 39% and Biggs’ 38%. According to Noble, the upcoming gubernatorial race promises to be one of the most competitive in the nation.
