Cerity Partners Expands into Arizona with Canopy Wealth Management Acquisition
Scottsdale, Arizona — Cerity Partners, a serial acquirer in the financial advisory sector, has announced its entry into Arizona through the acquisition of Canopy Wealth Management. This Scottsdale-based firm, which manages approximately $433 million in client assets, officially joined Cerity Partners following the closure of the deal on Friday.
The Canopy team, spearheaded by advisors Chad Wing and Dustin Brutton, will now operate as partners within Cerity Partners, accompanied by four fellow colleagues. Kim Kovalski, managing director at RIA consultancy Marshberry, who advised Canopy on the transaction, highlighted that the acquisition was aimed at enhancing Canopy’s scale and resource capabilities.
This strategic move marks a significant expansion for Cerity Partners, underscoring its commitment to growth in the competitive wealth management landscape. With this acquisition, Cerity aims to strengthen its service offerings and enhance client experiences in the Arizona market.
