Kenzie Brown Honored as All-American in Softball
TEMPE, AZ – Sun Devil Softball standout Kenzie Brown has earned a prestigious spot on the 2025 NFCA Division I All-America First Team, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced during the Women’s College World Series press conference. Brown is one of 54 athletes from 33 institutions recognized for their exceptional performance this season.
This marks the 45th recognition for a Sun Devil and the 26th first-team honor, making Brown the first ASU pitcher to receive All-American honors since G Juarez in 2018 and the first first-team selection since Cydney Sanders in 2022.
Through the Super Regionals, Brown impressively ranks second in the nation with 289 strikeouts, averaging 11.6 strikeouts per seven innings—the highest among Power 4 pitchers. Her strikeout tally places her 10th in ASU program history, while her per seven innings average sets a new record.
Concluding the season with a commendable 19-8 record, four saves, and a 1.28 ERA, Brown showcased her skills by recording double-digit strikeouts in 12 games and tying the ASU record with 18 strikeouts in a tense 1-0 victory over BYU. In addition to the NFCA honor, she also secured Second Team All-America selections from D1 Softball and Softball America.
