Gilbert Ranked Among Top Ten U.S. Cities to Raise a Family

PHOENIX — Gilbert has earned recognition as one of the top ten cities in the United States for raising a family, according to a recent WalletHub study. The study evaluated 182 cities based on a range of criteria, including family-friendly activities, housing affordability, school rankings, and healthcare quality. Gilbert stands out as Arizona’s top entry, landing at the No. 8 position overall.

The East Valley town received high marks, coming in fourth for socioeconomic status, 14th for affordability, and 16th for health and safety. Other Arizona cities also performed well, with Scottsdale at No. 12 and Chandler at No. 23, achieving strong scores in affordability and socioeconomic status.

Gilbert is not alone in its accolades; Scottsdale consistently ranks well, holding the 8th spot on WalletHub’s happiest cities list. Additional cities in Arizona include Peoria (49th), Phoenix (93rd), Mesa (98th), Tempe (99th), Glendale (139th), and Tucson (150th).

In the WalletHub rankings, Fremont, California, claims the top spot for family-friendliness, followed by Overland Park, Kansas, Plano, Texas, Irvine, California, and South Burlington, Vermont. Memphis, Tennessee, and Detroit, Michigan, ranked as the least favorable cities for families.
