Carter Bryant Shines at NBA Draft Combine, Eyes Future in Professional Basketball
Chicago, IL – Carter Bryant, a standout from Arizona men’s basketball, made a strong impression during the 2025 NBA Draft Combine held this week in Chicago. The 19-year-old guard showcased his athleticism with an impressive vertical leap of 39.5 inches, ranking among the top verticals of the day; however, he fell short of North Carolina’s Drake Powell, who topped the charts with a 43.0-inch leap.
Participating in a series of shooting drills, Bryant demonstrated his scoring ability by sinking 11 of 30 off the dribble and 16 of 25 spot-up shots. He also excelled in three-point shooting, hitting 13 of 25 attempts in one drill and maintaining a perfect score of 10 for 10 in free throws. Additionally, he took part in the pro lane drill, showcasing his speed and agility.
Standing tall at 6 feet, 6.5 inches and weighing 214.8 pounds, Bryant possesses an impressive wingspan of 6 feet, 11.75 inches, and a standing reach of 8 feet, 10 inches. While he is currently testing the waters for the NBA Draft after just one season with the Wildcats, he has until May 28 to withdraw and return to school.
Having played 37 games last season, Bryant averaged 6.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and an assist per game, while also being a defensive asset with 35 steals and 37 blocks. He is projected as a first-round pick, with the Rookie Scale consensus board listing him at No. 15.
As the combine continues through Sunday, basketball fans can catch all the action on ESPN and ESPN 2.
