Yuma Police Investigate Shooting Incident on Arizona Avenue
YUMA, Ariz. – A 32-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries following a shooting incident early Tuesday morning, according to the Yuma Police Department (YPD).
Officers responded to reports of a man with a gunshot wound around 1:50 a.m. on May 9. They found the victim on Arizona Avenue near W. 32nd Street. After receiving initial medical attention at Onvida Health, the man was subsequently airlifted to a hospital in Phoenix for further treatment.
As of now, no arrests have been made related to this incident, and the investigation is ongoing. The YPD urges anyone with information to assist in the ongoing case by contacting them at (928) 373-4700 or anonymously through 78-Crime at (928) 782-7463.
