Unseasonably Cool and Wet Weather Expected in Phoenix
PHOENIX – The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting unseasonably cool and wet weather for the Phoenix area on Tuesday. Scattered showers are anticipated across south central Arizona, with rainfall accumulations ranging from 0.1 to 0.5 inches, particularly in the lower deserts and higher terrain areas to the north and east of Phoenix.
Temperatures are expected to be significantly below average, with a high of just 74°F on Tuesday—10 to 20 degrees cooler than normal. While the weather will be cool and wet to start the week, the NWS forecasts a rebound in temperatures, predicting highs of 86°F on Wednesday and potential triple digits by Friday and Saturday, with highs of 103°F and 104°F, respectively.
