Suspect Sentenced in Preston Lord Case
(KYMA, KECY) – In a significant development, William Owen Hines has been sentenced to 17 years in prison following his involvement in the death of Preston Lord. Hines faced initial charges of murder and kidnapping but pleaded to manslaughter, receiving a 12-year sentence for Lord’s killing, alongside an additional five years for an unrelated aggravated assault.
The tragic incident occurred in 2023 when Lord was brutally attacked after leaving a Halloween party. Hines was among seven suspects arrested in connection with the case.
