As Marte continues to recover from a hamstring strain, Lovullo indicated a strategic approach for Tawa’s usage. “He’s going to split a little bit of time between second base, third base, and some of the outfield,” Lovullo elaborated. The team also has experienced utility man Garrett Hampson to provide coverage in the outfield, allowing Tawa to focus on multiple positions.
