Arizona Men’s Golf Earns NCAA Regional Bid

Arizona Men’s Golf has been selected as the No. 6 seed in the Amherst Regional for the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship, announced during the selection show on Golf Channel. The Wildcats will compete among 13 teams at Poplar Grove Golf Club, a course renowned as the final design of golf legend Sam Snead.

Last year, Arizona showcased its talent by securing a spot in the NCAA Championship after a fourth-place finish at the West Lafayette Regional. The team previously clinched an NCAA Regional title three seasons ago, defeating Pepperdine by five strokes at the Bryan Regional held at Texas A&M University.

The NCAA Golf Regionals format consists of 54 holes played over three days, with the five lowest scoring teams advancing to the NCAA Championships at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, starting May 23. Arizona aims to replicate its past success and make another strong showing in the postseason. As they prepare for the challenge ahead, the Wildcats are focused on showcasing their skills and competing at the highest level.
