Isolated Showers Expected Across Arizona Today

Rising Temperatures and Weather Changes Expected in Arizona

PHOENIX — Warm weather is making a comeback across Arizona, with Valley temperatures set to rise into the upper 80s today, followed by highs in the 90s throughout the week. A weak storm system passing through on Tuesday may bring light showers to some areas, although minimal precipitation is anticipated in the Valley, where residents can expect breezy conditions and possible gusty winds.

Northern regions could see small hail and strong winds due to this system. Another weak front is expected on Friday, primarily affecting areas north of I-40 with slight chances of rain. The weekend will bring a more significant storm front that could result in heightened wind speeds and a notable cooldown, lowering Valley temperatures by 10 to 20 degrees.

By Sunday, temperatures could dip to the low 80s, with potential isolated showers. Cooler weather will persist into early next week, with Monday’s high forecasted to be in the upper 70s—over 10 degrees below the May average. The breezy conditions and slight rain chances will continue to impact the area.

Residents are urged to prepare for elevated wildfire dangers due to the gusty winds expected this weekend.
