Kitan Crawford Selected by Arizona Cardinals in 2025 NFL Draft
RENO, Nev. – Nevada safety Kitan Crawford has been chosen by the Arizona Cardinals as the ninth pick in the seventh round (225th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft. A standout during his season at Nevada, Crawford earned All-Mountain West Honorable Mention honors and was among only two Wolf Pack defenders recognized by the conference.
Crawford led Nevada with 76 tackles and scored the team’s sole defensive touchdown through a remarkable 52-yard interception return against Oregon State. After transferring from Texas, he made an immediate impression, starring as a free safety and recording two interceptions along with 3.0 tackles-for-loss.
Consistently performing at a high level, Crawford never recorded fewer than four tackles in a game, achieving a season-high of 11 against Air Force. His prowess in the secondary contributed significantly to Nevada’s defense, as he was instrumental in the team’s 11 interceptions and 36 pass breakups, with seven originating from Crawford alone. His ability to recover fumbles also highlighted his skills as a top ballhawk, totaling 75 return yards from his three turnovers.
