Cam Skattebo Selected 105th Overall by New York Giants in 2025 NFL Draft
Phoenix, AZ – Arizona State University’s standout running back, Cam Skattebo, was picked 105th overall in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. Skattebo had an exceptional final season, leading the Big 12 Conference with 1,711 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns, alongside 605 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
His standout performance in the Peach Bowl against Texas showcased his dynamic abilities, where he amassed 143 rushing yards, 99 receiving yards, and even threw a 42-yard touchdown pass—nearly steering ASU to victory against a formidable defense. Skattebo made history as the first player since Christian McCaffrey in 2015 to surpass 1,500 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards in a single season.
Acknowledged for his versatility, ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham praised Skattebo’s capability to play multiple positions, calling him a “nightmare” for opponents. Dillingham emphasized, “You can line him up at running back, in the slot, or even as a wildcat quarterback. His intelligence and skill make him an asset in various roles.”
During the NFL Scouting Combine, Skattebo’s athletic prowess was on full display, particularly with a remarkable 39.5-inch vertical leap, placing him in the 93rd percentile among running backs. He opted to run the 40-yard dash at a later pro day, clocking in the low 4.6-second range, meeting pre-draft expectations.
With interest from multiple teams, including the Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns, Skattebo’s selection by the Giants marks a significant milestone in his promising career, further solidifying Arizona State’s reputation for producing NFL talent.
