Aligned Data Centers has commenced construction on a new facility in Phoenix, Arizona, with images indicating that the site could be PHX-13 at 8805 N Reems Road. The company has not provided any official details about the project yet. The data center is part of Aligned’s 100-acre campus with over 1 million square feet of data hall space in Phoenix.
Aligned Data Centers acquired the land for the new facility at 8785 N Reems Road in Waddell for $86.5 million and another site in Glendale at 75th Ave & Northern Avenue for $10.2 million in 2024. The company currently operates a 55-acre campus in Phoenix on Union Hills Drive, with plans to further expand its presence in the region.
Phoenix is a significant data center hub with various developers and operators having multiple buildings and sites across the area. Aligned Data Centers joins other major players like Vantage and QTS in developing data center campuses in the Glendale region of Phoenix.
