Arizona Track & Field will be competing in the Tyson Invitational and the Husky Classic this weekend. The Tyson Invitational, hosted by Arkansas, will have field events starting on Friday at 12:15 p.m. MST, and running events at 12:00 p.m. MST. The Husky Classic, hosted by Washington, will only have three distance runners from Arizona competing on Saturday. Director Fred Harvey sees this as a great opportunity for their elite athletes to learn and compete with the best as they prepare for future championships.
At their last competition in Albuquerque, the Wildcats performed well with personal bests and season bests being achieved. The men’s shot put team ranks second in the nation in the USTFCCCA Event Squad rankings, with key athletes like Zach Landa and Tyler Michelini excelling in their events.
The Wildcats have several athletes ranked in the NCAA and the Big 12 performance lists, showing promising results going into the upcoming meets.
